Greetings and welcome to the Ateraan soundpack 1.0. We would like to thank you for deciding to play Newworlds Ateraan and for taking part in the soundpack that allows one to become more immersed into the world. I will give you step by step instructions on how to put all the files where they need to go down below In VIP MUD. This soundpack has been many years in the making, loaded down with several different sounds for locations, alerts, and combat. This soundpack is always being updated, and will hopefully be updated regularly on the official version as well. This soundpack was put together by many people, with out who's help this could have never been done. To name just a few:
Renlo
Quokas
Xen
Zaraia.
We hope you enjoy this soundpack and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to one of us in otells if you are confused on something if you can not contact us on the blind channel.

instructions for setting the soundpack up in VIP MUD 1.
1: unzip the folder if you have not already
2: go into the ateraan 1.0 folder and click on the sounds folder
3: Select all useing control+a and then coppy using control+c
4: Go to your VIP mud root directory. This is normally located within your C:\program files location. or in other terms, in your local disc, and then program files, or program files (x86)
5. Inside this folder look for vipmud, then entering that folder you will look for sounds folder. Entering that you will do the next step.
6. Once in the sounds folder of your VIP MUD directory, paste using the key command, Control+V, this will begin pasting all sound files you coppied from the other sounds folder in your Ateraan 1.0 folder into your VIP MUD sounds directory.
7: it may prompt you, asking if you wish to replace any files, I only bring this up as some may already have some of these files. if it does ask it, you can go ahead and say yes, copy new files.
8: next leave this sound folder by pressing the backspace key, and you will return to the main VIP MUD root directory, look for your Ateraan folder, and enter it.
8: If you do not have an ateraan folder in your directory, this soundpack will not work. you need to make sure your newworlds folder is titled Ateraan for this soundpack to work correctly.
9: once this is done, enter your ateraan folder, you may already have an Ateraan.set file located within, this file will be replaced by the following left over two files within the Ateraan 1.0 folder
10: returning to your Ateraan 1.0 folder, copy both your Ateraan.set file, and your Powers.set file into the VIP MUD Ateraan directory. Once done, you can close the folders up. and start your Ateraan VIP mud session anew.

VIP mud 2
Follow the same instructions as above, but instead of in your program files to find this vip mud directory, locate it within your documents folder, and follow the steps above.

A few basic tips on how to use the soundpack functions.
1: to check your HP SP and EP you will need to do the following
A: type hp to refresh it if you are actively checking your hp, this will show you your hp
b: then press f2, for your hp as well to get a quick check at what your hp is, this is often useful for fast paste very spammy combat, and your normal hp is getting lost in the mix. This key you can hit a few times to hear just in case you miss it.
C: f3 will report your SP level
d: the f4 key will report your EP level
e: keep in mind to type HP enter to update your f key announcements for battle.
2: A handy little navagation mode has been put into the Ateraan.set file for you to be able to navigate more quickly and efficiently around the game. This is possible by hitting 2 for south, 8 for north, 4 for west, 6 for east, 1 for southwest, 3 for southeast, 7 for northwest, and 9 for northeast. You can also do control 2 for down, and control 8 for up. This feature will only work on a number pad, not on your home number row.
3: If there are any arrors in sound files not playing, please alert Quokas to this and I'll be able to see what is wrong, and hopefully update the soundpack quickly enough.
